Construction Requires Closure on Seattle Hill Road June 23-26

Seattle Hill Road Closure map
The first planned closure of Seattle Hill Road for construction will take place June 23-26. The roadway will be closed for 500 feet on both sides of 36th Drive SE starting on Friday, June 23, at 10 a.m. and will reopen no later than Monday, June 26, at 4:30 a.m.

Local traffic along Seattle Hill Road will be allowed through the closed segments to intersecting streets or neighborhoods that have no alternative access. Residents who can access their homes via alternate routes will be required to do so.

A detour route for the closures will be via 132nd Street SE and 35th Avenue SE. Drivers are encouraged to review the detour plans.

Snohomish County’s construction project on Seattle Hill Road includes adding bike lanes, curbs, sidewalks and a center turn lane.

A five-day closure (Monday through Friday) is tentatively scheduled for mid-July. And a third closure is slated for spring 2018.

Sign up to receive email notifications about the project or see project updates on the County’s project web page.
