Police Helping Drivers Stay Safe in School Traffic

With school starting, it’s likely to see more parking issues and congestion around Mill Creek. Students will be out in force in the mornings and afternoons to and from school and it’s important to stay safe and watch for pedestrians.

The Mill Creek Police Traffic Unit and officers will be contacting students and helping them move their vehicles and park them legally throughout areas near high schools.  New drivers should take care to not park in spots blocking fire hydrants or driveways.

Drivers should also understand the law regarding pedestrians. Drivers must stop if a pedestrian is in their half of the roadway or within one lane of their half of the roadway.
