Entry Level Police Officer

Requirements

• U.S. citizen
• 21 years of age or older at time of appointment
• High school diploma or certificate of equivalency (GED)
• Possess a valid U.S. drivers license and be able to obtain a valid Washington State drivers license at time of appointment
• Have a clean criminal record

Job Description

Salary & Benefits (Effective January 1, 2011)

• $4,551 per month (top step is $5,951) and excellent benefits
• On-the-job training program approved for veteran's G.I. Bill benefits

Deadline: Recruitment is open and continuous. Ranked eligibility list will be periodically certified by the Civil Service Commission.

Oral Board Interviews: Oral board interviews were conducted February 21, 2012. Future interview dates have not yet been determined. The written test score determines the order in which applicants are considered for an oral board interview (we are not able to predict in advance which applicants will be invited to oral board interviews).
