Community Engagement
A feedback icon
The City of Mill Creek provides opportunities for community engagement and volunteerism. Make your voice heard, learn about city government, and help shape our great City for years to come.

Do you have a concern about something within the City of Mill Creek? Please let us know!

Represent Your Neighborhood
We invite you to be part of a focus group representing Mill Creek neighborhoods to provide insight on key topics to the City. This focus group will meet approximately four times per year. It provides you with an opportunity to:
  • Share ideas about how to strengthen and enhance the Mill Creek community;
  • Provide feedback on City initiatives, such as the Capital Improvement Plan that will be developed this year; and
  • Raise topics that are of interest to your residents.

If you are interested in being part of this focus group, please contact Joni Kirk.

Help Redesign the City's Website
The City will launch a redesigned website later this year and is seeking citizen input. The new website will improve usability and navigation, will be easy to use from mobile devices and will showcase community events and engagement opportunities. Sign up for the focus group.

Speaker's Bureau

Does your group want to learn more about how the City operates and why it does what it does? If so, then consider requesting a speaker from the City of Mill Creek to address your group.

The Speakers Bureau comprises City employees who have volunteered to speak about their operational areas of expertise. This is a free service for groups within the City of Mill Creek. Eligible organizations include civic clubs, philanthropic organizations, professional organizations, homeowners associations, hobby clubs, special interest groups, school classes -- or even just three or more people who are interested in learning more about how the City government operates.

Speakers are available to address a variety of topics, including:
  • Business Planning
  • City budget and Financing
  • City Manager's role and responsibilities
  • Daily City Governmental Operations
  • Economic Development
  • Emergency Preparations
  • Environmental Design
  • Growth Management Act
  • Housing
  • Land Use Regulations and Processes
  • Police and Safety Topics
  • Public Records and Accountability
  • Recreation and Tourism
  • Social Media Use by Organizations
  • Surface Water Education
  • Sustainable Landscaping

Submit a Speaker Request
To submit a speaker request, fill out this Form

You can request a topic from the list above on the form. We’ll pair your request with an appropriate speaker, who will contact you to finalize arrangements. If you do not see the topic you’re interested in, please select "other" and fill in the corresponding box on the form.

While every attempt will be made to satisfy your request, we can’t guarantee that we always will be able to do so.
