Storm Drains . . . 
                                            Do you Know Where They Go?

Storm Drains are catch basins along the street and parking lots, marked by a grate that collects rainwater.

Did you know that they are meant to carry only uncontaminated rainwater and that all the storm drains in the City of Mill Creek eventually lead to North Creek?  Putting oil, antifreeze, detergents and other materials into the storm drain/catch basin is the same as dumping them straight into North Creek, and is against the law in Mill Creek (under Mill Creek Municipal Code Section 15.14.240).

Your observations can help the City of Mill Creek investigate pollution of local waters.  By taking good notes and perhaps a few pictures you can help us respond to pollution when it is occurring.
