Mill Creek is located in Snohomish County approximately 25 miles north of downtown Seattle in a planned residential community in a growing area with a population of approximately 17,770.

Mill Creek Police Department is dedicated to providing exceptional public service. A main goal of the agency is to have a police force that is sensitive to the needs of the community it serves. To this end, the department is committed to community oriented policing, as reflected in its bicycle patrol program and the many community services provided, including block watch, vacation house check, security survey, the D.A.R.E. program, and a high school resource officer.

Requirements

  • At least 24 months of full-time commissioned police service within the last 36 months with a municipal, state or county law enforcement agency and shall include successful completion of an accredited state academy
  • Completed at least probationary period with current or previous employer
  • U.S. citizen
  • 21 years of age or older at time of appointment
  • High school diploma or certificate of equivalency (GED)
  • Possess valid U.S. drivers license and be able to obtain a valid Washington State drivers license at time of appointment
  • Graduation from the Washington State Training Commission Basic Academy or have the ability to obtain an equivalency certificate within one year of hire date
