Second Round of CARES Grant

The City of Mill Creek has received additional funding from the State of Washington to provide CARES Grant Relief to businesses located in the Mill Creek city limits. The City has the opportunity to award up to $117,192 in grants to companies who have not previously received grant money from the City of Mill Creek or Snohomish County.

With the first round of CARES Grant funding, the City distributed $600,000 grants to sixty Mill Creek small businesses. Additionally, the City allocated $70,000 for service organizations that provide relief operations within the City of Mill Creek. Eight local service organizations also received support from this grant.

"We are excited to offer a second round of grants to businesses who missed the initial CARES Grant opportunity that closed in November," says Finance Director Jeff Balentine. "The City is committed to the success of all our small businesses and wants to support those that have been negatively affected by the impacts of COVID-19."

Small businesses must use the CARES Relief Grant money by the end of the year. Businesses are encouraged to submit the Grant Agreement documentation promptly. All paperwork is due to the City by close of business on Wednesday, December 16.
