Surface Water Pipe Repair Project Delayed
Posted on 08/04/2020

MILL CREEK, Wash. – UPDATE 8/4: The 2020 Grade C Pipe Repair project is currently delayed due to a theft of the contractor’s pipe repair materials. Allied Trenchless, the City’s contractor, has ordered new materials and will resume working on this project when the materials are received.

The City of Mill Creek will begin repairing the City’s surface water pipes in the Douglas Fir, Vine Maple and Evergreen neighborhoods. Work on these repairs will take two months once work resumes.

The City’s contractor, Allied Trenchless, will be utilizing trenchless technology that will allow the pipes to be repaired without having to excavate around the pipe. The contractor will open manholes and catch basin grates to gain access to the pipes to complete the repair work.

Citizens living in the Douglas Fir, Vine Maple and Evergreen neighborhoods can expect noise associated with the use of a vacuum truck that will be used to clean the pipes before repairs are made. The contractors will have trucks parked on the side of the road while the repair work is being performed.

For more information on the project, please see the City Council Agenda Summary found here:
