Census Continuing Despite COVID-19 Outbreak
Posted on 03/26/2020

By now, Mill Creek households should have received the first of several invitations to participate in the 2020 U.S. census. The U.S. Census Bureau encourages everyone to respond online as soon as they receive their invitation. Households also can respond over the phone. Households that have not responded online or over the phone will receive a paper questionnaire between April 8 and 16, 2020, and can return it in the mail.

Census takers may follow up in person with those who haven’t responded between April 9 and May 13, depending upon the area of the country. The U.S. Census Bureau will follow guidelines from public health officials prior to making personal contact.

The City of Mill Creek strongly encourages its residents to participate in the 2020 census.  The data submitted will determine the level of federal funding it receives for programs and services along with the number of congressional representatives allocated to the state.
